"Something we're taking a look at particularly in Rise of Azshara is making certain that characters don't fail at any point on their levels, and can swiftly get to the point that they're playing with their buddies at Nazjatar and Mechagon buy WoTLK Gold," Feasel said. Essences is one of the more complex customization systems added in Rise of Azshara. The game also adds punchcards with colored sockets which are reminiscent of gems. It all has a feeling of comfort for long-term players, and that comes from the desire to offer greater flexibility.
"I believe that all of these changes are just evolutions of things that we've done before, in a way that it feels that you have lots of different options to alter your character. It's strictly based on item level," Feasel said. "So there's always a method for you to log into the game and figure outthat, hey what's the way I'd like me to evolve my character today. There are 10 different ways for you to do that."
Another new feature is quality-of-life adjustments. Mounting capabilities, for instance can allow you to customize your mount with other special capabilities that they don't come with as a default. The particular instance Blizzard provided as an example was Water Strider, which has the ability of walking on water. With the new mount system you are able to equip this ability in any mount. The studio was very frank about this as a response to a bit of discontent buy WoW WoTLK Classic Gold, but it required more of a broad approach than feedback it was required to provide.
