EA Sports' "Madden" ratings aren't always the best particularly for rookies.
EA published "Madden 22" on Aug. 20 and first-year players had to figure out their debut ratings. Imagine the rookies shocked -- and a little disappointed by their debut numbers.
Take Patriots first-round draft pick quarterback Mac Jones, for instance. When you asked him to take a shot at his mark in "Break Tackling" the Alabama player claimed a score of 52 "would be an incredible score." It would, especially when you consider his actual rating of 26.
"Oh my God!" he said, laughing. "No way I'm being a prankster. What number of tackles have I broken before." The speculations were made by a shrewd Jets receiver Elijah Moore who figured his "Change of Direction" would be a perfect 100. Spoiler alert: He wasn't able to break the 100 mark, however Moore was close to achieving score of 93. Moore said, "Who is higher than me?" "'Cause 93 kinda low, like. I'm not even sure what to say that I'm not able to do anything."
