MMOexp POE 2: Solid but Situational

Summary

Patch 0.5.4 has brought significant changes to Path of Exile 2's farming meta. Expedition received substantial buffs, the economy has shifted, and many strategies have risen or fallen in value. Based on extensive testing and community feedback, this tier list ranks almost all major farming strategies to POE2 Currency help you pick the best approach for your playstyle and budget.

Whether you're looking for consistent profit, high-risk gambles, or strategies that work on any build, this guide covers everything from S-tier staples to D-tier strategies you should avoid. Let's dive into the rankings.

S-Tier Strategies: The Best Farms in 0.5.4

Expedition (Max Mods)

Expedition has received tremendous buffs over the last few patches, and in 0.5.4, it has become one of the absolute best farming strategies available. Running max mods expedition drops a tremendous amount of raw divines and valuable logbooks. Whether you're running it with or without outdoor areas, this strategy delivers consistent, high-value returns.

The buffs to expedition have made it competitive with raw currency farming strategies. If you can handle the increased difficulty from max mods, the rewards are well worth it. This belongs firmly in S-tier.

Ritual

Ritual has been an S-tier strategy for a very long time, and it remains there in 0.5.4. The primary reason is the consistent drop rate of valuable omens. Even basic omens like Omen of Whittling sell for around seven divines each, and you can get multiple omens from a single ritual encounter.

The biggest downside is that ritual tablets can be expensive, but you can still make decent profit even without running juiced tablets. With proper setup, ritual offers some of the most reliable high-end returns in the game.

200% Delirious Maps

Running 200% delirious maps is still an endgame S-tier strategy. It provides huge currency returns and a lot of valuable loot from the tree. You also get a consistent supply of Omens of Light and other valuable drops.

The main downside is that you need a very strong build to handle 200% delirious content efficiently. But if your character can clear it fast enough, you can easily make over 40 divines per hour, making this one of the most profitable farms available.

A-Tier Strategies: Strong and Consistent

Boss Rush

Boss rush has been solid A-tier across the entire league for various reasons. First, you can combine it with other strategies like tablet farming or logbook farming. Second, you can target specific bosses like Rakiata or Garan. While Garan's drop chance isn't too high, the Garan shard currently sells for around 550 divines, which is absolutely massive.

Even for stable profit, the Bridge Lord Sack sells for about eight divines, and boss rush provides a constant way to generate these. The flexibility and consistent returns make boss rush a very solid A-tier strategy.

Breach

Breach is still providing a pretty good amount of valuable loot. The biggest downside is that you need to pull monsters outside of the smoke, which can be annoying. However, with a strong build running fast enough, breach can generate more than 40 divines per hour.

Despite the annoyance factor, breach remains a very solid S-tier strategy for those who can optimize their clear speed.

Azir Boss

Azir is probably one of the best boss farms currently available. The main reason is the Azir Communion jewel, which has a tremendous price of around 520 divines. But even outside of that big drop, Azir drops consistent temple currency that you can sell.

The biggest downside is that Azir is a pretty big gamble for the jewel itself. However, compared to other gambling strategies, you're not left with nothing if you don't hit the big loot. This keeps Azir in A-tier.

Chaos Trial

The Trial of Chaos is a very solid option right now. It's very easy to do, requires no specialized build, and provides a pretty decent profit of about 20 to 25 divines per hour. The biggest downside is that you can't hit anything higher than that, but for a low-effort, consistent farm, it's excellent.

Chaos Trial belongs somewhere in A-tier because of its accessibility and reliability.

Simulacrum (with Setup)

Simulacrum has always been very close to S-tier, but it requires a dedicated build to maximize profit. You also need to be very fast to make it truly amazing. Without that setup, it's not going to compare to other farming strategies.

However, if you have the right build, simulacrum should be in S-tier. The setup requirement drops it to A-tier for general recommendations.

Temple Snake (with Setup)

In terms of raw currency, temple snake is absolutely amazing and would be S-tier. However, it's very time-consuming to build the correct temple, which drops it to around A-tier. Similar to simulacrum, the setup cost prevents it from being universally recommended.

B-Tier Strategies: Solid but Situational

Ash Arbiter

Ash Arbiter is one of the best boss farms we currently have, but that doesn't make it the best overall. Entrances are pretty expensive, and you need at least 100 to 200 runs to see consistent profit, which requires significant investment.

Unidentified jewels still cost a lot, making Ash Arbiter a B-tier strategy with potential to jump to A-tier if you're lucky. The main reason it stays in B-tier is the high entry cost relative to the inconsistent returns.

Logbook Farming

Logbook farming is a pretty solid strategy when logbook prices are around two divines each. However, prices have been falling in recent days, dropping this to B-tier. You can still combine it with other strategies like Azir rush or boss rush, so it's not completely horrible.

Raven Boss

The Raven boss reminds me of Arbiter of Ash, but I believe it's much better. The Raven shard itself costs a lot, and entrances are pretty cheap. This belongs somewhere between the top of B-tier and the end of A-tier.

Simulacrum (without Setup)

Without a specialized build, simulacrum falls to B-tier. It's still a decent farm, but you're mostly gambling on hitting Voices. At around 15 to 20 divines per hour, it's comparable to Ash Arbiter and other B-tier options.

Catalyzing Bridge / Basic Breach

Catalyzing bridge isn't too amazing right now, mostly because it's outshined by 200% delirious bridge. Similarly, basic breach without delirium is outclassed by buy POE 2 Currency its delirious counterpart. Both belong in B-tier and should only be done if your build can't handle 200% delirium.
