So my SUV has been struggling to start on these humid mornings lately, and I'm pretty sure the battery is on its last legs after nearly four years of service. I've been doing some research online and keep coming across different brands, but I've always had good experiences with Energizer in the past when I lived back home – they just seem to hold up better in extreme temperatures compared to some of the cheaper alternatives I've tried. The problem is, I'm not really sure who actually stocks genuine ones here in the UAE because I've seen a few places advertise them but then when you show up, they try to push some obscure brand on you instead. I'm based in Dubai but honestly don't mind driving a bit if it means getting the real deal and not some counterfeit copy that'll die on me after six months. I've asked around at a couple of local garages and they all just shrug and say they only deal with whatever their supplier gives them, which isn't very reassuring. Has anyone here actually purchased one recently and can point me toward a legitimate this Energizer battery supplier in UAE? I'd really appreciate some firsthand recommendations rather than just trusting random Google results because I've been burned before with fakes that looked identical but had completely different performance. Also, if anyone knows roughly what I should expect to pay for a decent spec for a mid-size SUV, that would help me avoid getting ripped off too. I'm planning to replace it this weekend before I get stranded somewhere, so any quick advice would be amazing. I've heard some horror stories about batteries swelling up in this heat or leaking acid, so I definitely want to make sure I'm buying from somewhere that actually stores them properly in a cool environment rather than just leaving them out in the sun. Anyway, hopefully someone here has some solid experience with this and can save me from making a costly mistake.
