Where’s a nice area to stay in San Sebastián?

I’m planning a few days in San Sebastián and mostly want to enjoy the food, walk around the city, and spend some time at the beach. I don’t mind walking, but I’d rather stay somewhere with a relaxed atmosphere. Which neighborhood would you choose for a first visit?

    elahobuqec902  I’d probably focus on location rather than finding the fanciest hotel. That worked well on my trip because I could walk almost everywhere. I also checked the city guide <a href="https://kubiktrip.com/en/city/san-sebastian-es">by Kubik Trip</a> before settling on an area. It gives a decent overview of neighborhoods, sights, and local tips, which made the choice much easier for me.
