An indoor basketball scoreboard is a wall- or ceiling-mounted display that shows the scores, time left in the game, and periods as well as fouls committed by both teams during the entire match.
What to Check Before You Buy
Check that display size can be viewed from the furthest away seats in the gym and not only from those that are closer to the court where the play takes place.
Choose between remote controls that work either through a wired connection or wirelessly according to how your staff works during the games and tournaments.
Make sure you know the height of your ceiling and the space available on the walls before making the decision about hanging or wall mounted displays.
New vs. Used: What to Watch For
Some buyers will want to acquire second-hand sports equipment, particularly for scoreboards to save on their money spent during the acquisition process. This is indeed possible but buyers must ensure that the display panels and the wiring are in good condition, in addition to checking whether the control system works properly.
Why This Equipment Sets the Tone
The indoor basketball scoreboard will make players and fans take the game more seriously, whether it is being played at the most competitive levels or merely for leisure and intramural play.
The availability of electricity and the height of the installation have a great effect on the complexity of the installation process, so proper planning ensures that one does not experience any frustrating delays when the scoreboard finally reaches its destination.
Matching the Scoreboard to Your Gym's Personality
Beyond its functionality, a scoreboard is part of the ambiance created at the gymnasium. Those facilities that hold community and alumni events may prefer scoreboard designs that allow customization in terms of team or school names.
The balance between the identity that the scoreboard brings to the gymnasium and its functionality will aid the buyer to select the right product for long-lasting use and not only for one particular season.
