Mmoexp Path of exile currency: The Passive Skill Tree and Attributes

3. The Passive Skill Tree and Attributes
PoE’s passive tree is one of the most defining features of the game. Thousands of nodes provide boosts like increased life, critical strike chance, or Path of exile currency elemental resistances. Each level grants a passive skill point, and you’ll choose your path carefully based on your desired build.

Attributes are equally important:

Strength: Improves melee damage and maximum life.

Dexterity: Increases accuracy and evasion.

Intelligence: Boosts mana and energy shield.

A fire spellcaster will prioritize intelligence, while a bow user focuses on dexterity.

4. Skill Gems and the New Gem System
In Path of Exile 2, skills are no longer socketed in gear, a major change from Path of Exile 1. Instead, skills and their linked support gems now live in your skill gem inventory, allowing for far greater freedom.

Skill Gems: Provide active abilities like fireballs, leaps, and curses.

Support Gems: Modify how those skills behave (e.g., more damage, chain effects, multi-projectile).

You can slot and level these up independently, letting you freely swap gear without affecting your build’s core skills.

This new system makes experimenting and POE currency for sale optimizing smoother, especially for newcomers overwhelmed by PoE 1’s gear socketing limitations.
