The company has registered two trademarks in the UK One trademark is for "OSRS Gold" and one in the name of "RS Gold" in the filing stating that the firm has registered the usage of the words as words OSRS Gold. This should stop third-party websites from having the ability to make claims that they sell RS Gold.
A simple Google search of the term results in hundreds of websites many of them with one of the terms listed in their URL, that offer the currency of RuneScape in exchange for real money. This came after the announcement on October 13 that Jagex was putting an end to "real-world trade". On its website "The RuneScape Team" explained that "gold that is purchased via RWT real world trading is an issue in any online game that uses currencies that can be traded."
Jagex promises to begin sending "messages to players we've identified as engaging to engage in"RWT" within "the coming hours". "For anyone who has been involved, we want to be clear - this is the one or only warning" they added.
Also announced was the news of the game's PvP option, Duel Arena, would have sweeping changes that would include more stringent enforcement of the game's code of conduct, in order to encourage more positive game play. Jagex affirms that the mode "has been a source of anger for the shady behavior".
Before that the publisher's "short-term measures" will be taken "until our development teams are able bring a major update to fully replaces the Duel Arena next year."

RuneScape hasn't been around for more than 20 years due to it being an experience that is average and does not have any commitments in the future runescape account. As an MMORPG it's a part of a genre that seems to constantly be nearing the point of demise despite the popularity of a very few games.
