Season 14 Druid power is less about chasing one flashy damage roll and more about keeping several systems running at once. Good D4 items help, of course, but the real jump comes when your Runewords feed your Paragon setup without you having to think about it mid-fight. For Storm-Werewolf hybrids, that means turning critical hits, Spirit spending, and Overpower windows into a repeatable loop. If the loop drops, Pit bosses feel slow. If it stays up, the build suddenly feels like it has another gear.
Build the Spirit loop before chasing bigger numbers
Start with Lust for Carnage and Ancestral Guidance. Lust for Carnage makes Werewolf critical strikes restore 2 Spirit while adding a 70%[x] damage bonus. That changes the way you play. Your spender is no longer just draining the bar; with enough crits, it helps refill it. Ancestral Guidance then pays you back after 75 Spirit spent, granting 40%[x] increased damage for five seconds. You will notice the difference straight away: don't wait for a perfect burst window. Spend Spirit steadily, refresh the buff, and keep attacking. Thunderstruck fits neatly after that, especially when Tempest Roar lets Storm skills count as Werewolf skills. Those attacks can benefit from both boards at once.
Let Runewords handle the awkward triggers
Runewords are at their best when they remove a job from your hands. Pick a Ritual Rune that earns Offering through something your build already does, such as spending Spirit or casting a Core skill. Pair it with an Invocation that creates a useful payoff: a guaranteed Critical Strike, an Overpower, or a borrowed utility skill. It sounds simple, but plenty of players use a trigger that fires only when they are doing something inconvenient. That is wasted value. Your rune pair should tick in the background while you play normally, helping Lust for Carnage sustain Spirit and lining up bigger hits for Dominate.
Glyph choices and quick comparison
Level 45 is the important breakpoint because the larger radius makes stat requirements far less painful. A tight route is usually better than grabbing every nearby node. Here is the practical split: Headhunter | 40 Willpower | 10%[x] damage to Elites; Dominate | 25 Intelligence | 15%[x] damage while Overpower is active; Spirit | 25 Dexterity | critical hits build up to 12%[x] increased damage taken. Headhunter also brings an unconditional 12.1%[x] damage bonus at higher ranks, while Dominate does the same for Overpower-focused setups. Spirit is the sustained-fight option. Fast, repeated crits keep its enemy debuff rolling, which is exactly what a Pit boss demands.
Keep the pace through the Pit
Route to Ancestral Guidance and Lust for Carnage first, then add Thunderstruck and your chosen Glyph boards around the skill type you actually use. In a high Pit, standing still between packs costs more than people think. Spirit stacks fade, and the five-second Ancestral Guidance buff can disappear before the next target. Keep moving, spend Spirit, and use the Rune cycle as it comes up. When you need to adjust gear or fill a weak slot, browsing Diablo 4 Items for sale can be part of that process, but the board and rune loop are what make those upgrades matter in combat.
