What's the best time of day to explore Hallstatt without heavy crowds?

Hey everyone! I’m heading to Austria next month and Hallstatt is at the very top of my bucket list. I know it gets extremely busy with day-trippers, so I really want to plan my time wisely. For those who have been, what's the best way to avoid the midday rush and still get to see the famous viewpoints and salt mine?

Early morning or late afternoon is pure magic in Hallstatt! When I visited last October, getting an early start let us enjoy the quiet lakeshore and snap photos at the famous postcard viewpoint before the tour buses rolled in around 11 AM.
